Xbox One, announced the release of April

The team of the Xbox division of Microsoft is working hard to release constant updates and frequently asked for his generation consoles, with an eye to the demands of its customers.


We are in fact witnessing updates on a monthly basis, with small and large improvements that make this platform better every time. Updates for February and March have introduced important innovations such as managing disk space, upgrades for groups (Party), support for Twitch , Dolby Digital 5.1 (optical) and to the standard 50 Hz and many other features and fixes.

The update of April, after being announced and tested for ten days to a few selected users in beta, has now begun the official roll-out, as stated on the Xbox Wire blog .

Here's what's new in this latest release:

 - Bailouts and updates games and app: A progress bar will show the status of the game saves. It will also be possible to easily understand which games and apps have been updated recently.
 - Friends: They have been introduced in order to get notifications when their friends and favorite log on to Xbox Live. This said Microsoft was one of the most requested features by players. Friends in multiplayer mode will also be identified as such in its list.
 - Kinect voice and movements: Improvements and adjustments for the quality of voice commands and gestures possible by means of Kinect. They were, for example, reduced the "false positives" that identified different objects as their own hands
 - Video quality GameDVR: increased thanks to a new compression algorithm
 - Support Blu-ray player: Added output at 50 Hz for content recorded at this frequency. It also coming an update of the Blu-ray player in the next few days.
 - Controller and Headset: Firmware updates for the wireless connectivity for audio. These are the settings to run with these accessories connected.
 - Restarting silent system updates: If the console is in the "Quick Launch" the update will be applied automatically after downloading and a reboot will bring the console in standby mode. This means that there is no longer the need to manually turn on and restart. There will also be an option to manually download new (future) updates as they become available, without having to wait for the automatic downloading during the roll-out.

And you have already received this update? To check software check the information of your Xbox (you can do so in Settings> System> Console); the latest version is numbered 6.2.10812.0 (xb_rel_1404.140411-1830) frequency.
