Microsoft has started the deployment in the late morning and therefore may already be downloaded by all those who have installed the application Preview for Developers and have registered their accounts on Microsoft Site http://apps.windowsstore.com .
The installation consists of two steps, and the first (preparatory) leads the version of the system software to v8.0.10532.166 while the next one, to be launched manually from Settings, Update, updates look at v8.10.12359.845 (Windows Phone 8.1). The procedure has a duration which varies according to the files and applications on the device and must be performed with fully charged battery and using a Wifi connection. To download the update, you can just go to Settings, Update, look for updates.
Recall that some features of Windows Phone 8.1 is presented by Microsoft at the Build Conference in 2014 may not be available in this preview version for developers. Also, if you want to try Cortana will need to set the "United States" in Language and Country in the System Settings.
