ASUS Gamebox: a new benchmark confirms the hardware features

It should be before the Mobile World Congress that you hear about ASUS Gamebox, a new device of the Taiwanese manufacturer that, as the name suggests, will be dedicated to mobile gaming with Android on board of course. It was in February, a first benchmark on AnTuTu, it unveiled the hardware features, showing among other things, a detail which left some doubt on the features of the device, no doubt partly removed from the first render of the controller.

A new benchmark, this time made with GFXBench confirms its hardware features leaked in February, reopening but any doubts about how it will be structured this device. Given the name you would think that this is a console, but both tests have resulted in the presence of a display before 5 "(AnTuTu) and then by 6.9" (GFXBench).

The hardware features are confirmed SoC NVIDIA Tegra 4, the internal memory of 8 GB and 2 GB RAM, and Android to version 4.3 Jelly Bean. The display, as mentioned above, increased from 6.9 to 5 inches in two variants, one HD and a Full HD. We are still a bit 'skeptical in relation to this very characteristic, also saw the render controller that should accompany the hypothetical Console ASUS. It remains to establish a possible launch date on the market and especially the price that, given the fierce competition (OUYA console and the various low-cost airlines that are springing up in the east, plus Amazon Fire TV), will be around 100 / $ 150 to be competitive.
