Mutant Mudds is a platforming old style, made in 2D but that allows the player to walk and fly on different levels of depth. A time exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS, is now available for iPhone and iPad.
Mutant Mudds is one of the most brilliant old-style platformer for iOS, which has made a fortune even on non-Apple platforms. The platform game released by Renegade Kid is well known to both iOS players, and to those of Nintendo and PC. The title was in fact also spread through Steam and e-shop on 3DS. The premise of the adventure is very simple, as is the case for most of platform games alike. The main character is Max, a young man who will have the task of defending the Earth from an alien invasion brown and muddy, which is increasingly populating the planet.
The particularity of the game, in addition to the style old school, consists in the possibility of changing levels of depth. In fact, the hero will need to face the enemy on the classical level in the foreground, or to wander deep behind the background. This effect, which of course makes the best of himself on the two screens of the Nintendo 3DS, because the three-dimensional effect, however, is very successful and also on the smaller screens of the iPhone and iPad, so as to give originality to the game.
Mutant Mudds contains over 60 different levels of play that are developed in five different worlds, each of which features an original graphic theme, always made in the most classic retro style. Each level also ensures a high degree of longevity, presenting three different objectives to be achieved in order to achieve the highest score possible: the first is simply to pass the level unscathed, while the second requires you to collect all 100 diamonds scattered along the route and finally, the third is to identify the input of a hidden layer. This will push the player to repeat several times the levels of the game, so that the product as a whole is much more durable than you might think.
Mutant Mudds is available in the App Store for iPhone and iPad. You download at the price of 8.99 dollars from here.
