Among the features introduced by Apple with iOS 7, and there is much in demand, as is well known, block calls on the iPhone, a filter that works not only on the phone but also on incoming messages and FaceTime. The method to block unwanted contact is a rather simple but perhaps not all, especially the new platform have become aware or know this interesting function that is not only effective, but also reversible.

The concept is simple: When you insert a contact in the list blocked incoming calls from that particular number will be unreachable, and the phone will not ring: according to the managers of the called party, the caller could get the classic sound busy, or feel a first ring and then voice mail. But it will be possible to contact the user blocked, since the function block only one way. Below is a simple guide on how to block calls and messages on iPhone with iOS 7.

First Step

IOS 7 access the general settings of the device and then enter the section Phone, Messages or Facetime. At this point you will need to click on the Locked box, so you can select the contacts to be blocked.

Second Step

After arriving in the menu Blocked simply click on Add, select the contacts you want to block. After clicking on Add all contacts will appear and you will need to click on each contact to lock it. These, finally, will appear in the appropriate menu blocked. To view each time blocked contacts is therefore possible to use the following shortcuts:

  - Settings> Phone> Blocked

  - Settings> Messages> Blocked

  - Settings> FaceTime> Blocked

Note that blocking a caller on a function will be locked for all other. In practical terms: who is locked, for example, for the telephone call, there will reach even with the sms or with Facetime.

Alternatively

You can lock the desired contacts opening, respectively, applications, Phone, Facetime and Messages. Within the first two app you can tap the Info button ("i" circled) next to the name or number you want to block, and then scroll to the bottom of the card to touch the lock button. In Messaging, however, you must tap the message of the contact you want to block, then tap the contact in the upper right corner, followed by the Info button located directly below the Finish button and scroll down to find the Lock button.

Block an Unknown Caller

In some cases we are to endure phone calls and receive text messages from people that we do not have in our section, whether known or unknown people. In this case is simple block the caller. Let's go to the call log, touch the "i" next to the circled number of those who have phoned and then select Block contact in the bottom of the card that will appear. If you want to block who sends us we can open the SMS text message, tap the top right corner "Contact", tap the "i" and then circled Block Contact. Again, we can similarly Facetime block a contact that is bothering us and from whom we do not want to be disturbed.

Unlock a contact

In the event that you decide to unlock a previously locked contact is sufficient to enter the menu Blocked (in Settings -> Phone -> Blocked) and select Edit in the top right. At this point you can click on contacts with the red dot to the left and then click on the reset button. We will also make a "swipe" to the left to bring up the "unlock".
