Starbucks tip 100 billion capitalization app and mobile payments

The goal, particularly ambitious, is to double in the future the value of its market capitalization, jumping from the current $ 57 billion to $ 100 billion share.

Transactions via mobile phones or other electronic devices represent 14% of sales "in store" of the chain in the U.S.A., with five million "detached" receips via cell phone every week and approximately 10 million customers using the Starbucks app.
Are arriving new apps for iPhone and Windows Phone, are opening new stores ( about 20 with the Teavana brand ) and new menus. To earn money, Starbucks invented reward programs and mobile apps: the latest idea is an application that will allow customers to make in advance, directly from your smartphone, the drink orders and various foodstuffs. The trial will start soon in some U.S. cafes.
Today, however, users can make payments at the checkout with your mobile device, linking transaction handled through "QR code" on your account to your loyalty card at Starbucks. The iPhone app, in this sense, has just been updated to offer the opportunity to give a tip (50 cents, a dollar or two), and to enable the payment via the new "shake to pay".
The updates for Android OS are expected for the end of the year. Instead, the Windows Phone app is launched in next months on the Microsoft stores.
