Lenovo has announced two new models of the Chromebook , the Lenovo N20 and N20p .
Both new Chromebook are almost identical in terms of specifications, but while the N20 has a standard design , the display of the model N20p can be folded backwards and has a touch screen .
Both products are equipped with a 11.6-inch diagonal display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pisel , are powered by the Intel Celeron Haswell and offer 2 GB of RAM and 16GB of storage space.
From the specifications ( screen size aside) seem hardware features of a new phone, but considering the price of only $ 279 for the N20 and $ 329 for the Lenovo N20p new Chromebooks are designed for those on a budget really low .
Recall that a not-too -performance hardware is usually for a Chromebook , as it is a notebook platform based on Google's Chrome OS , an operating system designed by Google and based on the Linux kernel that can run on a machine does not require much . It is an open source operating system , designed for users who spend most of their time on the computer connected to the Internet . For this reason the majority of applications are shared via the cloud , in online mode. Among the special features of the system, there is the use of only eight seconds to start up a computer ( with a solid state drive ) .
For now, the new Chromebook and N20p Lenovo N20 will go on sale in the United States . We do not know if and when it will cross the U.S. borders .
