Sony has announced that it has reached 7 million PS4 consoles sold since launch (in less than 5 months).
Right at the beginning of March, Sony boasted that its PlayStation 4 had reached the milestone of 6 million consoles sold and now, less than a month later, proudly announces that the number has risen to 7 million sales. Sales of Sony's new console does not seem to slow down very soon, indeed.
In comparison, the main rival PS4, the Xbox One of Microsoft, it is estimated to have sold only 3 million units since its launch, although this is not confirmed at a given moment. In the PAL markets, Europe in particular, the PS4 has surpassed the Xbox One with a ratio of 07:01 last week (7 consoles Sony sold per console sold to Microsoft).
Be careful though, because Microsoft has announced that from September 2014, his Xbox One will arrive in 26 other countries, including India and Japan, but most will arrive in most of Europe. When it was launched in November last year, the Xbox One was now available in 13 countries: Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States .
The Xbox One compared to Sony PS4 can count on some highly anticipated titles exclusively, including Forza Motorsport 5, Son of Rome Ryse, Kinect Sports Rivals, Dead Rising 3, Killer Instinct. Every Xbox One has available computing power of 3 other virtual consoles on the network and proposes a renewed hardware than it is in the Xbox 360: 8-core x86 processor, 8GB RAM, 500GB HDD, Blu-ray, Full HD Kinect sensor, wireless controller completely renovated (more than 40 updates), HDMI.
The PS4 system is designed for gamers, with the heart formed by a custom chip that contains eight core x86-64 processor and a graphic of the last generation to 1.84 TFLOPS with 8 GB of GDDR5 memory with unified system and ultra-fast, that simplifies the creation of games and increases the quality of the content available for the platform. The end result are new games with rich graphics and high-quality and engaging experiences like never before. PS4 can boast a 1.84 TFLOPS GPU, AMD's next-generation Radeon based graphics engine, 8GB of RAM and 500GB hard drive.
